Our comment from InfoVet about Australian Veterinary Clinic:
Welcome to the Australian Veterinary Clinic, your trusted partner in pet care. Our clinic is known for its dedicated veterinarians and a team that genuinely cares for your furry friends. Many pet owners appreciate our professional and experienced doctors, particularly Dr. Fadi and Dr. Shams, who have been praised for their compassionate approach and effective treatment plans.
Our services include a wide range of veterinary care, and we have received positive feedback for providing exceptional support, especially in critical situations. Pet owners often commend our staff for being friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.
However, some clients have raised concerns about communication issues and pricing transparency. There have been instances where clients felt the administrative staff could improve in providing timely updates and managing appointments.
While we strive to ensure high standards of care, some customers have expressed dissatisfaction regarding wait times and appointment scheduling. We are committed to addressing these concerns and continuously improving our services. Despite the negatives, many families have had positive experiences, especially when it comes to providing life-saving treatment for their pets.
We recommend checking our services, as many clients have found both the veterinary team and the clinic environment to be beneficial for their pets' health and well-being. Thank you for considering the Australian Veterinary Clinic, where we prioritize the health of your pets.
Australian Veterinary Clinic: Reviews
Negative experience: Unfortunately the admin staff is so bad, lying, taking money without doing the TAMM requests… awful. My first review was: Very nice and gentle But then I unfortunately lost my 15 years old cat, and Dr Fadi Doud has been more than supportive and human with us and with our cat until the end. I can’t thank him enough for his kindness and sweet words… really appreciated.
Positive experience: Prices are a bit high. Apart from that, they are good.
Positive experience: Great and experienced doctors Update: a new doctor is not very gentle in handling cat
Negative experience: They are not honest about the cost. They Quoted us 207 but when we walked out had to pay 3 times that amount.
Negative experience: Actually the clinic was really good but u fortunately it’s getting worse day by day.. I come to my appointment on time and they ALWAYS keep me waiting from 30 minutes - 40 minutes!!! And during the treatment or the checkup it takes not more than 20 minutes!!!! And at the reciption area is worse
Fantastic experience: good staff very friendly
Negative experience: We used to love Australian Vet and have always had good experiences with their doctors.they are knowledgeable and caring. Unfortunately, our recent experience regarding the Tamm Pet Registration was very disappointing. We submitted all the required documents via WhatsApp, had a phone conversation to confirm the process, and paid via bank transfer immediately. I also sent the payment screenshot right away. It has now been 4 days with no follow-up or response, which has been extremely frustrating. Clear communication and timely updates are especially important for registrations like this. I hope this feedback helps improve their administrative and customer service moving forward.
Negative experience: Horrible place only cares about money without giving any attention to the pet’s health or safety… even when I requested to register my pets they forced my to give them their vaccinations all over again and made it twice the usual price to benefit from the new law… plus they decided to give them a checkup whiteout informing me just to take more money out of me… even when my cats got scared and pooped in the bag I brought them in… I told them that I am pregnant and cannot deal with their poop and they said they will help clean them but just took them to the other room and threw tissues in the bag and gave them back to me with all their poop and pee in there… that is the worst service for the price I paid.
Negative experience: No one is answering the phone. I took my pet to register him on TAMM. Everything was fine and they promised me it will become on the same day but unfortunately nothing so far. No updates. Unprofessional
Negative experience: Do not respond to phone calls
Negative experience: I had an emergency life-threatening situation with my pet, and the customer service was very unempathetic and rude. She kept saying that no doctors are available, and when I explained that my reptile is in critical condition and I need to know what to do right now, she just ignored it and said that she doesn't provide any online consultation and told me to find other vets. One of the worst clinics ever with no empathy and clearly is just here for business with no care whatsoever for the animals' wellbeing.
Fantastic experience: Good clinic visited for one of our cat Viki, they well groom the cat, I satisfied with their service
Fantastic experience: Thank you to Dr Shams who has saved the life of a cat who many people would have euthanized. Lily came to Dr shams with chronic kidney and serious mouth infection herpes in April. He encouraged me to take care of her . Earlier she has been treated at other hospital but Dr shams has changed her life . He constantly follows up on her care and today I can say it’s a miracle ….. lily who was supposed to probably die a painful death is becoming a healthy cat in just 2 months . Thank you Dr Shams you are an Angel and lily is so greatful to you !! . Some before and now pictures I’m incredibly grateful to the team at Australian Veterinary Clinic. My friend found an abandoned cat with a microchip, but because microchips aren’t centralized we had no way of identifying the owner. The clinic went above and beyond—emailing multiple vets to track the owner down. Thanks to their kindness and persistence, the cat is now safely back home. Their genuine care for animals is truly remarkable. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Wonderful vet clinic. Dr. Kostiantyn and the nurse were so kind, gentle and truly saved our bird. We are grateful.
Fantastic experience: always bring my pet here for treatment. The staff are professional and helpful, and I trust them to take great care of my pet
Fantastic experience: We are very happy with the service and care we received at the Australian Veterinary Clinic. Our rabbit had a critical issue on National Day, and after trying several clinics that were either closed or unable to take him in, we were very relieved to reach the Australian Vet Clinic at 9 p.m. Dr. Constantine and his team took excellent care of our rabbit, and thanks to them, he has made a strong recovery. The clinic is very clean, the team is professional, and they kept us updated daily on his condition. We truly felt that our pet was in safe hands and we are very grateful for their care and support.
Fantastic experience: I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Milan for the exceptional care and expertise he provided in saving my dog’s life. I have been bringing my pet to Australian Vet for the past six years; however, I have never encountered a veterinarian quite like Dr. Milan. His professionalism, compassion, and dedication were evident from the very first moment of consultation. When my dog’s condition became extremely critical, I contacted the clinic at 6:30 a.m. for an emergency case. The team responded immediately and efficiently arranged everything necessary for urgent care. Throughout a critical and distressing situation, Dr. Milan demonstrated remarkable skill, clear communication, and steady confidence. He ensured that I fully understood my dog’s condition and the treatment options available, providing both reassurance and transparency at every step. Thanks to his prompt action, thorough assessment, and expert medical judgment, my dog made a full recovery after 4 days. Dr. Milan’s commitment to excellence and his genuine concern for his patients reflect the highest standards of veterinary medicine. It is rare to encounter a professional who combines technical mastery with such deep empathy and kindness. I will remain profoundly grateful for the care my dog received and would recommend Dr. Milan without hesitation to any pet owner seeking the very best in veterinary care. Million thanks to Dr.Milan ❤️
Positive experience: Very disappointing experience. None of my visits have ever started on time, even though appointments were booked in advance. The service quality does not match the high pricing. No one ever informed or called to notify about delays — this is quite disrespectful to clients’ time and to the animals, who have to wait 20–30 minutes in the hallway.
Negative experience: I called them for emergency situation, my cat has a broken leg and they said come today the doctor is available I came from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to see the doctor to makes the surgery today.. When I arrived they said sorry the doctor is traveling and he will be available after 4 days and we cannot help now .. It was waste of money and time and I am already exhausted from searching for a doctor
Negative experience: They did my cat a favor that I didn't ask for, and in the end they told me to pay.، And now it took me half an hour for them to delete the service that I did not request and they did not do it, very bad supervision
Fantastic experience: I have tried most vets in Abu Dhabi during my 12 years here. AVC is my favorite, great "no nonsense" care, always had great success in treating my cats and dogs here. Never failed me❤️
Positive experience: My cats love the doctors and nurses there they are so great. One bad thing is that they never stick to appointment timings. i always have to wait 15 - 20 minutes after my appointment time
Fantastic experience: They took care of me and my pet even though we were from another clinic. I appreciate that! 5 stars to the Aussies!
Negative experience: My experience with this clinic was extremely disappointing from the very beginning: The reception staff showed absolutely no manners or professionalism. I rushed in carrying my dog and asked urgently for the doctor, but they completely ignored me and continued chatting with each other. Only after I raised my voice did one of them finally respond and say, “the doctor is inside this way” They do not allow you to stay with your pet during the visit, which creates unnecessary stress and a complete lack of transparency. Their diagnosis was unclear, and the answers I received from the staff were vague and unconvincing. They never inform you of the cost upfront. When I insisted on knowing the exact price, I only got an exaggerated “approximate” figure. Ans when I asked the vet what had been done for my dog during the 30 minutes he spent inside and how much the medical services cost. He told me “so far it’s AED 740.” I told him not to do anything else and that I would pay the 740 and take my dog to another clinic. At that point, the vet suddenly said the treatment was “already finished”,even though just moments earlier he claimed the IV fluids were not yet completed. When I went to pay, I was shocked to find that the bill had been increased to over AED 1,000 " "No stamped bill"— without any additional treatment being done — simply because I said I would move my dog to another clinic. It is very clear that money is their main priority, not the well-being of the animals. Prices are extremely high compared to other clinics, and the lack of honesty and professionalism is unacceptable. I strongly do not recommend this clinic to anyone.
Positive experience: Kind, honest, and professional. If you have a bird, please don’t hesitate just directly go to Dr. Kostiantyn. First they tried to save my bird, who was dying due to another clinic’s mistake.. he sadly didn’t make it, but they did their best.. not to mention the empathy and care they showed.. especially the female nurse (unfortunately i dont know her name). Later, they helped save my rescued bird(in the photos) nobody believed she would make it.. I’m forever grateful.
Negative experience: Do not recommend it at all. I was there yesterday morning with my pet and I can say was the worst experience I have ever had, especially at the front desk. Reception was very rude and bearly understandable, there English is almost non existent. The two receptionist were laughing and talking between them living me to wait although I was the only one there. The Indian girl with braces keep rolling her eyes to the other one every time I was speaking. Their appearance is negligent and the whole clinic was having a bad smell. I highly not recommend this clinic.
Fantastic experience: Best veterinary clinic ever! Very valuable and trustworthy people with a lot of experience and expertise. You can see the care and genuine love towards our loved ones from the first interaction. Always reachable on WhatsApp, they are great professionals!
Fantastic experience: Took my sick dog. Vet checked and provided medicines. Today was much better. Thanks a lot….again !!!!
Fantastic experience: Doc. FADI is simply amazing! Thanks for taking care in this lovely way of Daily & Luna.
Negative experience: Avoid this vet by all means. Rescued a cat from a side of the road while driving. Rushed to the vet with it. Turns out the poor little soul had a huge tumor on its body and didn’t get hit by a car (as I thought) and had to be put down. With this already traumatic experience, they charged me extra for coming to the vet as a walk in because I didn’t make an appointment. Not sure how exactly the management sees this work in emergency situations, unless it is indeed a business model they are running - charging the rescuers, who are doing all such things out of goodwill, extra money. How pathetic. You’ve just lost a customer of 10 years. Never coming back again and do not recommend anyone doing the same.
Fantastic experience: The vet clinic is well situated if you are living in Abu Dhabi island city. Just be aware that they will be moving to a new location on Reem Island soon. The staff are super friendly and very helpful.
Negative experience: This is the worst veterinary clinic I have ever visited. I lost my kitten because of their negligence and poor judgment. She was only two months old and clearly sick, but when I took her to the clinic, the doctor told me there was nothing serious — just two injections and she would recover. I followed his instructions, but he was completely wrong. The next day her condition got worse, and I called him to tell him she was very ill, but he said it was normal. The following day, she passed away. I will never forget this mistake, and I would never recommend this clinic to anyone.
Negative experience: I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration regarding my first-ever visit to your Australian Veterinary Clinic yesterday. Unfortunately, my experience was, without exaggeration, the worst I have ever encountered with a veterinary service. Upon arrival, and throughout the initial consultation, there was absolutely no mention or disclosure of any consultation fees. This immediately set a precedent for a complete lack of transparency that continued throughout the visit. During the assessment of my pet, I was informed that an overnight stay might be necessary, and the quoted cost for this was an astronomical AUD 1150. This price was shockingly high, and due to its prohibitive nature, I made the difficult decision to take my pet home. To compound my dismay, upon preparing to leave, I was presented with a bill totaling AUD 430. This charge was for the consultation and a single injection. Again, neither the consultation fee nor the cost of the injection was communicated to me upfront or discussed at any point prior to the bill being presented. This entire situation feels like a blatant "rip-off." To be charged such a significant amount without any prior notification or explanation of the costs involved is entirely unacceptable and deeply unprofessional. As a first-time client, I expected clear communication regarding your fees, especially for standard services like a consultation and medication. This complete lack of initial transparency and the unexpected high charges have left me feeling exploited and deeply distrustful. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided and the way the financial aspect of the visit was handled. not coming back ever again!!!
Positive experience: Overall, very good service and very professional, my pet didn’t feel afraid at any point of the checkup and the environment is very safe for animals of all types. The only thing I believe can be improved is the time I waited for my pet to get checked; my appointment was at 2:30 (I arrived on time) but they only let in my pet in at 2:50, otherwise, everything was great!!!
Fantastic experience: I came to this clinic on the recommendation of friends. My parrot was sick and in a very bad condition, I was very worried. I get consultation with doctor Kostiantyn, he was very attentive and sympathetic. He asked about everything in great detail and offered all possible options. After the treatment, my parrot feels great. Many thanks to the staff and doctor Kostiantyn for curing my parrot!
Fantastic experience: Truly Caring and Professional Clinic I brought my very weak parrot to this clinic, and I’m beyond thankful for the amazing care he received. The doctor did everything he could to help, and thanks to his dedication, he saved my beloved bird. The staff and nurses were always welcoming during my visits. They even sent me videos so I could check on my parrot while he was staying there, and they gave me private time with him when I visited. That personal touch really meant a lot. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals they treat. I highly recommend this clinic — they’re passionate, professional, and truly lifesavers.
Negative experience: I took my cat to Australian Vet just to trim her nails, and it was a disaster. They refused to let me stay with her, which instantly stressed her out. As a result, she got aggressive something that never happens at other clinics where I’m allowed to be with her. This place clearly doesn’t understand cats or how to handle them gently. The staff seemed completely unprepared and impatient. I’ve had her nails trimmed elsewhere with zero issues, so the problem is not my cat it’s them. If you care about your pet, especially if they’re sensitive, stay far away from this place.
Negative experience: Horrible experience at this vet clinic. I accompanied my friend to bring in her sick bird, and the experience was devastating. The clinic gave a wrong diagnosis, which delayed proper treatment. They kept the bird for several days, and only later admitted they had made a mistake. Even after that, they let him stay longer in the clinic, and sadly, he died there. It was heartbreaking to witness such negligence. I would not recommend this place to anyone who truly cares about their pet.
Negative experience: My experience at the Australian Vet clinic in Khalifa City was utterly disappointing and distressing. I visited with my cat, Prince, who was struggling to breathe. Dr. Fadi conducted a physical examination, noting a lump in Prince's abdomen, and ordered a blood test and x-ray. While Dr. Fadi's diagnosis of FIP was accurate, his presentation of the treatment options was bleak and dismissive. He explained that Prince would require daily fluid drainage from his lungs, with a 50/50 chance of survival. The mention of potential cancer and additional costs (6000-7000 AED) for treatment without guarantee of success was overwhelming. However, what was most concerning was Dr. Fadi's emphasis on the lump being potentially cancerous, which added to the overall gloom. But, as it turned out, the second opinion I sought revealed that the lump was nothing concerning. Moreover, the second clinic's treatment plan did not require any surgical intervention to remove fluids, contrary to the Australian Vet's implication. Prince received effective treatment and made a remarkable recovery without any surgical procedures. What's more, Dr. Fadi's suggestion to put Prince down due to the potential suffering and uncertainty of the treatment outcome felt like a hasty and insensitive solution. Given my recent traumatic experience of losing another cat at this clinic, I was already on edge. The clinic's staff, particularly the reception, lacked empathy and situational awareness. They seemed more focused on payment processing than patient care. The insensitive mention of my deceased cat's name was a thoughtless mistake. The bill for 1900 AED, excluding medication, was exorbitant. In contrast, a second opinion at another clinic led to a remarkable recovery for Prince at a significantly lower cost. The second clinic's approach was positive, and their treatment plan was effective. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. The experience was traumatic, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Negative experience: I bring my cat at 10 AM for Full grooming they told me to pick him up at 2:00pm when I arrived to pick him up they said he didn’t start cutting his hair all this time my cat in the clinic they didn’t do anything to him im so upset and this is the worst experience
Fantastic experience: We took our new foster dog here and both times they were amazing. They really care and listen. Both vets we had cared so much about our pup.. I highly recommend them.
Fantastic experience: Its been I year I take my dogs very time to Australian Vet for day care and boarding, The stuff are really friendly with my dogs and my dogs really like them so far I am very happy
Negative experience: I don’t recommend this vet I have tried them with my bunny and my parrot they use old ways as a cure. My bunny almost died in their hands. If I didn’t act fast and went to another vet which helped her from the first time and my parrot died less than six hours in their hand very late check ups if i didn't call they would have not also they always tell you the pet needs to stay with us for two to three days and charge you yet your pet doesn't get any better I went to the British vet they cure my bunny from the first visit with check ups and email don't make the same mistake i did
Negative experience: I had a very bad experience at Australian Vets Clinic. Here’s what went wrong: 1- Wrong timing: Google says they open at 7:00 AM, but no doctor is there at that time. If you want to see a doctor, they charge AED 650 just to check your pet – no medicine included. That’s too expensive. 2- Bad after-surgery care: After my cat was neutered, they gave him back smelling really bad. They let him sit in his own poop. This shows they didn’t take care of him properly. 3 -Too expensive: The prices are too high for the poor service they give. I don’t recommend this clinic. They need to improve their care, timing, and prices.
Positive experience: The provide could services technically and commercially they are not the most expensive but not the cheapest as well. I provided 4 stars because the customer service and after sales services require a lot of improvements
Negative experience: I left my cat at the vet at 5 pm, I requested a vaccination, nail clipping, shower, and hair cut, they said it will need approximately 2-3 hours. I had to call them at 10 pm and ask them if the cat is ready. When I arrived I was told that they didnt cut her hair and that its too late. They could have called me earlier and told me that the cat was finished but no i had to call and ask 5 hours later. I called the vet 3 times telling them to cut her hair and when I arrived to give them the cat I also informed them about the hair but apparently that wasn’t enough and they couldn’t even bother to call and tell me that the cat is ready earlier, if they did so I would have probably arrived around 8pm and they still would have time to fix their mistake.
Negative experience: My family brought our French bulldog here everything was going good until someone over fed him caused him to start to suffocate and they just add a respirator and let him suffocated to death which was bad but the person who give us the paper of what do with our dog was smiling before he entered. they don’t care
Negative experience: Today was an incredibly heartbreaking and frustrating experience at my cat’s grooming clinic. Despite having an appointment, which I thought would guarantee some level of efficiency, I ended up waiting a painful four hours—far beyond the promised 2 to 3 hours. To make matters worse, the reception staff were no help at all. Every time I approached them, hoping for an update or at least some reassurance, they either brushed me off or gave vague, dismissive answers. It felt like no one cared about my time, my plans, or the stress my poor cat was going through. Sitting there, helpless and ignored, I felt so disrespected and disappointed. What’s the point of having an appointment if they’re not serious about their timing, and what’s the point of a reception desk if they’re not there to help? This visit left me feeling utterly let down and questioning if I can ever trust them again.
Negative experience: I recently visited this clinic and unfortunately, my experience was not pleasant. The doctor was not friendly and gave the impression of being disengaged or forced to work. Communication was not smooth, and the atmosphere felt far from welcoming or home-like. I expected a more compassionate and warm environment, especially for a place dedicated to the care of our beloved pets. This experience did not meet my expectations.
Fantastic experience: My baby sun conure was laying dead taking his last breaths at home when I called many Vets who all informed me they cannot take her in. The receptionist at Australian Vet informed me they have Bird Vet and oxygen, and all the needful. Dr Konstanyn was very knowledgeable and quickly put the baby parrot under oxygen and proper care. Regular updates were sent by WhatsApp and after 1 night under medication, and their care, my parrot is fully awake and responsive. Thank you to the entire team at Australian Vet in Khalifa city.
Fantastic experience: I love Australian vet. I am a relatively new customer but comparing it to all the other places I have been to, it's the best. Their receptionists are very sweet and helpful, their groomers really good and their boarding very personal, as they take the dogs out to play and send the owners daily videos. Above all, their Dr's are amazing! I tried 2 Dr's there and they were both very professional and caring towards my pets. Dr Neijra is one of a kind. She is a compassionate Dr that gave us a lot of care and empathy and time whilst we were dealing with a terminally ill dog. I would highly recommend her any day ❤️
Fantastic experience: Nice team and doctors. They let our two old pets go in a very proper way. And the neutering of our two new companions went very well.
Negative experience: Here’s a critical review based on your situation: I took my expensive dog, to the Australian Veterinary Clinic (AVH) for grooming, and the experience was beyond horrifying. My dog only had a few small knots in his hair, but instead of handling it with care and professionalism, the staff were cruel and extremely neglectful. They kept my dog for over 15 hours without any proper justification adding the fact that they don’t feed or offer any bathroom breaks during the grooming, subjecting him to immense pain and stress. When I finally got him back, I was devastated to see that they had ripped out most of his hair, severely damaging his hair follicles. His hair has not grown back since, and the procedure caused severe skin irritations that have left him in pain and discomfort. Despite my dog being in obvious agony and screaming during the grooming process, the clinic refused to let me take him home until I signed a waiver falsely stating that I was “extremely satisfied” with their service and that they had been gentle with him. This was utterly appalling. The staff were cruel, unkind, and showed no compassion toward my dog or me. If I could rate this clinic a zero, I would. Their actions have left my dog with lasting physical damage, and their disregard for his well-being was nothing short of inhumane. Avoid this clinic at all costs if you care about your pet’s health and safety.
Negative experience: Non-special equipment in the ICU. I lost my dog today because of the poor treatment and medical types of equipment. She was a strong Labrador but she was going to survive if I took her to a good vet hospital
Negative experience: Horrible they gave my cat an infection while he was admitted in their hospital and didn’t even inform me when I picked him up.
Negative experience: For 5 years we had been going to the same vet & do our cats annual vaccines. But recently when we had our cats vaccinated, our ginger cat had a side effect. He was hiding under the bed, his meow was really different like saying his in too much pain, his heartbeat was fast & his ears were all red & hot. We called to inform to Vet but they said it was just normal & just wait. But we can see he was in pain, we called the vet to say we are bringing our cat in. But the worst response was they will accept our cat but will charge for an emergency fee an extra 500 aed fee as its 9pm protocol. its UNACCEPTABLE for us as we brought our cat normal & healthy in the morning for vaccine and after bringing home he become sick. That should be a follow up check-up so see whats happening for our cat & worst the dr. Wont even entertain nor help us , he just gave the pressure & responsibility for the receptionist. 9:03pm, we reach the australian vet but they denied to help us. So we left & went to the next vet clinic and they warmly accompdate us & saved our cat. As per the vet dr. Our cat had an allergic reaction from the vaccine shot he just toke & thank God we brought our cat earlier, if not we might had lost him. I know money & income is important in every business but still show some care & concern also.
Fantastic experience: My favorite veterinarian is Dr. Fadi. I never hesitate to take my pet to him when they aren’t feeling well. He’s incredibly efficient, getting straight to the point with the treatment and providing the exact medication needed. If surgery is required, he makes sure it’s done promptly and with great care. His straightforward approach and expertise make him stand out. After experiencing nearly all the veterinary doctors in Abu Dhabi, I can confidently say Dr. Fadi is the best, and he’s always been my number one choice.
Negative experience: The worst vet I've ever been to. If I could give less than one star, I would. A couple of years ago, my cat had a fractured hip injury. When we went to this vet, they mishandled it, which led to my cat having a permanent limp for the past six years, causing her pain. We found a clinic with a specialist who could remove the limp completely. When we asked this clinic for my cat's medical report, they told us it would cost 150 DHS. I told them I would pay that when HELL FREEZES OVER. When I expressed my frustration, the receptionist responded with a little attitude. I lost it and told her she was insensitive and rude. She told me to calm down, and I said, "How can I calm down when this clinic has caused harm to all three of my pets? Now, when I have the chance to help one of them for the harm they caused, they're trying to charge me." One of my pets had an even worse experience. My kitten was going to his first appointment. We had booked a full check-up with grooming. He was three months old and had been a street cat. The day we found him was the day we took him to the vet. After a brief discussion, we were told to let them do what they needed to do and pick him up later. When we came to pick him up, the vet said he was in perfect condition. However, when we brought him home, we noticed he wasn't walking on one of his paws. The paw was completely burned. They had likely burned him during grooming, as he had been walking perfectly fine before. Afterward, he couldn’t even put the slightest bit of pressure on it. When we went back to the vet, they claimed that we must have burned him ourselves within the hour of bringing him home. They were dismissive and rude, and only reluctantly put him in a cast that was too large for him. He was in the cast for months and still has a scar on his paw. After all this, I gave the place one last try with a bunny we found near our house. The poor bunny was shaking and looked very sick. We called the clinic and explained it was an emergency. They told us we had an appointment in fifteen minutes, so we rushed to the vet, even using the radar. When we arrived, the receptionist told us the doctor was in surgery. When we asked for another doctor, they said no one was available, even though we saw two vets chatting for about 20 minutes. The receptionist, who seemed untrained, looked at the poor bunny and said it didn’t look like an emergency in a snarky manner. We had to take the bunny to another vet, but by the time we got there, it was too late—the poor bunny died the same day. The other vet said that if the first vet had taken care of the bunny, it could have been saved. So I say this with my full heart: I hate this vet. And again, if I could give negative stars, I would.
Fantastic experience: Yes, I really hundred percent agree with my friends that this hospital now hired a very professional nurse especially the nurse with papers . he is also the one who explains my cats medicine and food after putting my cat to sleep. now my cat is very healthy now. thanks to the manager for hiring intelligent nurses. I highly recommend this vet in khalifa city!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Vanessa is one of the most caring and compassionate vets I've ever had the good fortune to meet. Thanks for all of the help with our babies, Doc!
Fantastic experience: I visited this hospital for the first time on the recommendation of friends. My first impression when I arrived was spoiled by the attitude towards clients at the reception - the girls did not know how to communicate and do work. After that, the nurse invited me into the consultation room, where the doctor was already waiting for us. I really liked doctor Konstantin attitude towards my kitten; he examined my baby very carefully, asked me all the necessary information and gave me a lot of advice on caring for her. After that, she was got a vaccine and sent to the grooming to wash her a little. After a short wait, the very kind groomer Timi brought my kitten back. While I was waiting, I looked around the sales area and bought a lot of toys and treats for my baby, as there was a very large selection. Thanks to the doctor and grooming. And please pay attention and teach your receptionist how to work correctly
Negative experience: I very disappointed about the service and how the delay the receptionist may told me that I need to wait for 20 minutes max After 20 min I asked about my dog Leo The stated that I need to wait for more than 20 minutes And the other 20 minutes finished and still they did not bring my dog Very bad service it’s going to be my last time And after bringing the dog it was still dirty with the hair after shaving and they took him Back for more 10 min
Positive experience: During my recent visit to the Australian Veterinary Hospital in Khalifa, I found myself quite impressed with their overall service. I would rate it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The facility, although somewhat small and bustling with many animals, especially dogs, was efficiently managed. The crowded space did make it a bit challenging to navigate, but the quality of care made up for it. The service provided was exceptional. The doctor was incredibly kind and professional, taking the time to thoroughly examine and treat my pet. The entire team at the hospital was very helpful, displaying a high level of dedication and compassion towards all their furry patients. In summary, while the clinic could benefit from a larger space to better accommodate the number of animals and clients, the excellent staff and quality service ensure it remains a top-notch veterinary hospital.
Negative experience: Do not use these vets!! We took our Frenchie to them a few months back as she was scratching and developing rashes on her skin. We were told to pay for a blood test that took 2 weeks to get the results back and there was never even a phone call to ask how she was. As soon as you enter the room, they are straight at the computer adding items to the bill. We paid a lot of money as we were desperate! She never got any better until we took her to another vet in the same area and they knew straight away what the problem was and very honest! A week later she was much better and we paid less than quarter of the price! I had to phone to receive the results of the blood test and there was no need as it was nothing to do with her bloods but a reason to pay thousands!! All they are interested is making a profit. Please do not use them we were extremely disappointed with the service!
Negative experience: This clinic is, without a doubt, one of the worst I have ever encountered. I strongly advise against taking your pet here. The clinic clearly does not have the best interests of your pet at heart. If it were possible to give a zero-star rating, I would. The receptionists and support staff are utterly incompetent and seem determined to ignore clients and prevent them from speaking directly with the doctors. Their lack of professionalism and concern is appalling. It is shocking that this clinic is still allowed to operate, given the numerous negative reviews it has received. The level of care and service provided is unacceptable, and I hope others will heed this warning and seek veterinary care elsewhere.
Positive experience: We are regular clients of this clinic. The place is decent, and the doctors are good; they genuinely help the animals. However, I wasn't very impressed with the reception staff; they seemed uninterested in helping, and they don't manage the space and queue well. But overall, the place is good.
Negative experience: they insist on consulting Doctor and do not sell anything from pharmacy directly. For neighbours like me who only needed a eye ointment for bacterial watery eyes of cat, I have to travel 30 Km east or west some other pharmacy for a Dh20 eye ointment,, but they won't give.
Negative experience: I wish I can give them 0 stars. I took my cat for grooming for the first time ever just because The City Vet (where I usually take him) stopped the grooming services. And this place was next to it so it was convenient for me. They kept my bengal cat for 3 hours in a crate even though they said the grooming will only take 1 hour total. They refused to give me my cat before I proved that I paid even when I proved that I paid they did not allow me to take him before they check the bank transfer on their systems. I understand vets are a business and they need to make money but try to keep it noble and civil and try to act like you care about the animals coming in your doors. They went to speak to the emergency contact who is my friend and sent her a link to pay as well even after I said and proved that I paid. Do not trust these people with your animals.
Negative experience: Every were and in all the clinic the follow up it’s for free but in this clinic they let you pay new bill for the same cat that you bring before just one week I feel so bad about that because I am already patient for a long time with them
Negative experience: I have a bad experience with this clinic. Brought my dog that was vomiting constantly. Doctor prescribed me a syrup that doesn’t exists in pharmacies, when I contacted for help. They said I should get the pills instead. Which doesn’t dissolve in water either when I tried to do the proper MG. I received no proper help after paying 600, dirhams. All what I got from them was ‘’ come back for emergency ‘’ which costs 500. I’m like why would I pay again 500 dirhams for ANOTHER doctor when I’m supposed to have this from the previous one properly. Then I texted again they said they will get back to me regards how to dissolve the medication but never got back to me.
Fantastic experience: Have been taking my cat and dog here for 2 years. Then when I rescued 2 kittens after the flooding, they have been so gracious in helping me get the kitten back to full health. Can't recommend them enough!
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this vet clinic. The team are very friendly and the clinic is very clean. I have struggled to find a clinic where I'm not paying for tests without understanding what it is I am paying for. The dr we saw was very friendly and I could tell she loves animals. She explained what she needed to do and always checked back in to see if that's what I wanted.
Negative experience: I would like to share with you my experience with this clinic, and unfortunately it is a bad experience. I contacted them a while ago to groom my cat and they asked me not to sleep it in the clinic because the vaccination had expired. I agreed to that and I vaccinated it and paid all the costs, which are considered expensive. This time, I contacted them about the same matter and they also repeated their words, and they also refused to receive it in the afternoon. The question now is what do we do if we have work in the morning and we cannot bring our pets due to working hours that need to be reconsidered? Unfortunately, this will be my last experience and I will search for another clinic whose ultimate goal is not financial profit.
Fantastic experience: Baby Prince Harry loves this place as he can hang around with his fur and human friends from the daycare. He loves Dr. Aida also for repairing his hernia and removing his ⚽️. The staffs are all friendly and the price for boarding is acceptable. Hopefully they will give discounted price for the exit bath
Negative experience: We took our dog for full grooming. Dropped him off at 11. They told us it will take 2 to 3 hours. It became 2:40 and no one called I called them. They said he will be done in 30 minutes. We go to pick him up. He looks nothing like the instructions We gave and the pictures they asked to share on their WhatsApp number as a guideline. We gave specific instructions and they were not followed at all. I don't advise this place for dog grooming. After 5 hours the result was very bad, when we got there and complained about the result they took another 45 minutes to try to fix the haircut, but even when they tried it wasn't anything different. We have to wait for at least a month before our dog's hair grows and starts to look decent. I wouldn't mind if they said we don't have experience cutting hair for our specific dog breed. We would have just went elsewhere.
Negative experience: Basically a money minting machine where we took our cat for not passing stool for the last 96 hours and they said they need to do blood tests and xray of our cat and would have to admit her. The cat was kept there for 2 days and then we get a call saying you can collect her and give her medicine on your own then she would pass stool and an invoice of 3700 was given, Why should i take my cat there if i had to eventually give her medicines on my own, It’s the job of the doctors to see that the cat has fully recovered and then hand them over to the pet parents. Huge disappointment. I would never visit there again.
Negative experience: After returning from boarding, my dogs smelled of urine, as did their belongings, including the leash. Additionally, my oldest dog developed an eye infection during her stay. When attempting to contact them about the issue, I encountered six hours of unanswered calls, and my messages were repeatedly read without a response. Despite three weeks of treatment, the vet discharged her without full recovery. Moreover, the facility staff couldn't provide me with essential information such as blood test results and administered medication. This establishment displays a clear lack of professionalism, organization, and inadequately trained staff.
Fantastic experience: Great place, friendly and welcoming staff. Professional groomers! My cat looks and smells very nice after the visit!
Fantastic experience: Friendly and professional. Very easy booking process. I would definitely recommend if you reside in the wider Khalifa City area
Negative experience: Huge lie about rescue rates! Their bills are massive and diagnosing takes ages.. the bird died there even before the doctor saw it and the nurses did nothing expect say that even if the doctor saw the bird they would charge me after his death! Also we got a rescue cat which they refused to take in.. and they have a bill to a poor guy who wanted to help over 2k.. I’m sorry but who give good reviews about rescue is a fraud
Negative experience: The service rendered by the reception and respect for the clients time was horrendous. I confirmed several times that my dog will be ready for pickup and was told in a very nonchalant manner that this is not the case…. I will not! Use the vet for grooming services again.the veterinarians are good… but that is lost in the mess of having to deal with the reception staff and groomers.
Negative experience: I’ve had the worst experience at this vet. They can’t even do the bare minimum. I brought my cat to neuter him, and after that they did not put a cone on him.. so he started to lick the area. Next day he got sick and he got a fever. And started vomiting. I called the vet, and the receptionists were rude and they would hang up on me and kept me on hold for almost 3 hours. And she talked to me as if I’m a distraction and stopping them from helping other clients. Which I did not. I only called to ask why there were no cone put on him. And the receptionist told me “the nurse forgot”. Forgot?? Which Got my cat sick and he vomited 3 times a day? Anyways I admitted him to the hospital and they said he’ll stay there for 2 weeks!!. On a day of my visitation.. they brought my cat from the second floor and the nurse wasn’t holding the carrier properly, so the carrier snapped open and my cat fell from the stair and ran towards the dog. This is a very careless vet and they’ve neglected my cat many times and keeps doing the Mistakes over and over. No one cares there not even the manager himself. I don’t recommend putting or taking your pet there. Everyone there is rude and they don’t care about pets.
Positive experience: Good veterinary hospital helped me to cure my little bird “Mona”. Doctor was very helpful and explained to me and my kids how to take care of Mona.
Negative experience: Disgusting services. I called in regarding an emergency with my cat, a life or death situation and the receptionist sounded like the coldest person ever as if it meant nothing and they can't welcome us due to scheduled appointments which are most probably for vaccines. You need to hire people with compassion towards animals, a skill of speaking alone does nothing at a vet clinic.
Negative experience: I would like to share my sad experience with this clinic. I’ve brought a stray kitten with a huge wound on his jaw. After one week of treatment he was discharged, and they made me sure that the kitten is fine. After one day of foster care, the kitten started doing develop some flu symptoms. I’ve brought the kitten again to the clinic. Dr. told me that’s it’s simple flue and there is no reason to worry, even she didn’t recommended me to keep him overnight. I insisted to keep him at the clinic to make sure his 100% fine. After nine days he passed away… Maybe the kitten would be still alive if I didn’t decide to help him…. Before that case, I treated my own cat in this clinic, but now I don’t think so I’ll come back.
Negative experience: According to the manager, if the groomer does a horrible job (leave the hair tangled, no deshedding, uneven cut, cut instructions not followed) then you should be okay with it because they already put effort and that's all that matters. Their prices are cheap, now I know why.
Negative experience: The grooming is a disaster. They always say book in advance because we take only 5 dogs a day. We always brings our dogs just as they open and everytime we have to wait for 7+ hours for our dogs which is unacceptable. Told them many time not to keep our dogs in the kennels and to call us immediately but no its as if you talking to a box. Nobody listen. The fillipino guy use to do a great job, whatever you ask him he will do it. Today we had another groomer and o my soul he is a disaster. My dogs faces are messed up. Their bodies are not propperly shaved its fluff everywhere, their feet are not cleaned as we always requested. No I understand why they want paymentnin advance so that we you receove your dogs and they look like a disaster they feel a damm because they received their money already. Im done sorry to say but this will be my last time - they dont feel a damm about you and your dogs and never answer you we you ask them a question. Just ignores you.
Negative experience: Worst experiece ever. Took my 2 dogs for grooming I clearly instucted them I do not want my dogs kept too long and once the grooming is finished they need to call for pick up. Needles to say I went and enquire 7 hours later and still had to wait 30min to take them home. Receptionist are like zombies they hardly communicate with customers , so customer service at all. I also requested a certain grooming style that was not followed at all. This is completely unacceptable.
Negative experience: They shaved off my cat’s whiskers and management did not resolve the issue. Both sides were shaved, and the left side was shaved VERY short. This is extremely disorienting for the cat. The groomer apologized and recognized that it was an accident. Upon asking reception to offer a solution to them harming the cat, no reimbursement was allowed. The receptionist then went upstairs to speak with who I assume was management, and said the best they could do is 30 dhs off at the next visit. An absolutely shameful response by the business to resolve an accident in which a cat is left disoriented for weeks as the whiskers grow back. I understand the groomer made a mistake, accidents happen, and I recognize that the receptionist attempted to resolve the issue, but I directly hold management responsible for their insulting offer to make amends. Terrible way to do business with a loyal customer. I have never left a negative review before, but this vet deserves it.
Negative experience: I recently brought my cat in for grooming at the Australian Veterinary Hospital, and I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received. Not only did they fail to inform me about an incident where they accidentally cut off my cat's eyebrow whiskers, but the lack of communication and consideration for my pet's well being is appalling. It's concerning that such a mistake could happen without any notification or apology. The overall service was poor, and the customer service was even worse. I expected better care and attention to detail when trusting my pet with professionals. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a strong sense of dissatisfaction, and I will not be returning to this establishment. Pet owners, beware of the potential risks and lack of transparency at the Australian Veterinary Hospital. Unfortunately there’s no option to give them zero stars.
Negative experience: Used to be one of the best Veterinary in Abu Dhabi! But since the new management took over I will have to take down my ratings due to the inconvenience matters which kept occurring and the customer service is very poor comparing to before!
Fantastic experience: Dr. Fadi and his team of the best doctors (I'm not exaggerating here and not trying to flatter) are the only ones I'm trusting my tailed fam ❤️ I do prefer a doc, loving any furry miracle in his hands as much as I do, and Dr. Fadi does my kitties (3) were observed and treated (girl had couple of surgeries - very successful and done smoothly) since 2014 and I still can't find a better place in town to look after my cats
Negative experience: Wish i could give less than zero. Called the Emergency and were informed Doctor will be here in 15 minutes, already 50 minutes later still waiting. The ladies on duty were very unprofessional talking to eacg other instead of us. Hope they up their service soon as their are many other great Vets in town.
Negative experience: This place is a scam. They lied to make me pay 250 for fake test for each pet based on totally false information. I paid 1240 AED and they didn't put a chip on them. Even a human will not cost that much for check up, test and clean the shit out of his butt and body. Not recommended and I advice you to look somewhere else.
Negative experience: Very bad experience. I went one time. I left my cat for 1-2h as they said for some cleaning. When i came after 2h they told me at least 5h more because the line is long (they should have told me that from the beginning, i wouldn't keep my poor cat for so long there in a box and wouod just came later). Then the doctor promised to check on us after few days and of course didn't. Also reception didn't send me a message on whatsapp as i asked so i couod know how to reach them out on whatsapp. The treatment didn't work as promised. I went to another vet to fix it.
Negative experience: WORST VET EVER. THEY INJURED MY CAT WHILE GROOMING AND LIED TO ME ABOUT IT BEING FOUR DAYS OLD AND REFUSED TO TAKE ANY RESPONSSIBILITY OR ACCOUNTABILITY, I TOOK HIM TO THE NEAREST VET AND GOT A REPORT THAT THE WOUND IS FRESH WITHIN 24 HOURS. AND ON TOP OF THAT THE VET TOOK PICTURES BEFORE THEY GROOMED HIM WITH NO VISIBLE INJURIES ON HIS FACE!!!! THE DOCTOR TRIED TO CONVINCE ME THAT THE WOUND WAS UNDER HIS SKIN AND WAS ONLY SHOWN AFTER BATH. THE WOUND WAS A BIG CHUNK OF HIS SKIN MISSING ON HIS NOSE!!! PLEASE DONT BRING YOUR PETS HERE (الحمدلله thank god that Oreo will be okay <3)
Negative experience: It is not recommended at all. Worse customer experience I ever had. Over priced boarding for my puppy. I kept her a week. When I came to pick her up. Boody red eyes. Can’t breathe. Sneezing none stop and making buzzing sound when breathing. When I asked for dr to see her as I was so worried about her . I felt she was about to die as she was not breathing well. After dr saw her they charged me!!!!! Last thing I was expecting is to charge me After I just paid 1400 aed for boarding for a week .they took terrible care of my dog . It is their responsibility to make sure she is ok and healthy. I trusted them. But they didn’t deliver. I thought it would be a complementary checks as I have given them a healthy dog. Least thing they should do not to charge me again. I’m shocked. DO NOT PUT YOUR PET THERE. They Dont care about customer service or loyal customers. Please if you love ur pet - don’t put it here.
Negative experience: Not happy with the experience. They have broken nail of my Golden retriever while cutting his nails. He was in extreme pain for 10 days, he could not walk at all. It might have happen by mistake but they dint address it properly, they dint put bandage or pain killer.
Negative experience: Poor management , it’s all about the money No one care about your pet , the blood work of my dog was on hold from the lab. Because they didn’t pay the courier charges and was calling for it every single day. All they say it’s not ready. Called the lab. Said it’s ready 20 days ago. But they didn’t pay the courier charges !!!! What a pathetic management.
Negative experience: Doctor Shams is the best! I took there my 2 rescued cats and everything is great! I recommend you just doctor Shams!! There is one that's not too kind but doctor shams is the best Above was my review from a couple of years ago. I keep and maintain that doctor Shams is a truly angel. I have changed my rate now to 1, if I could put 0 I’d. I took four healthy rescue cats the other day for castration, everything went well on the surgery. My cats before that we’re all healthy. I have in my home 13 total cats which I have rescued and that since +2 years all of them have been healthy. Back to the first point, after the castration was done and that I took the cats home. They started to not feel well which is ok, is understandable after the surgery. When I took them to the hospital for the “free follow up appointment” they have charged me consultation. When I complaint they really don’t care and are saying extra excuses. Now, at home, 4 days after my cats got castration. Almost all my cats are throwing up. Which is a big question mark. For me and what I get to understand. How come 4 healthy cats that never left my home, I take them to the vet. They bring viruses from the hospital and now all my cats are sick. This is really unacceptable which makes me think and change my mind to a point where maybe they’re not cleaning after customer, leaving the viruses and bacteria’s be all over! I’d not recommend to anyone else to come here. And if you come, don’t go with any other doctor than Shams. He will treat your pet amazingly. Because there are others which will treat them very rude.
