To clarify for you and anyone reading: the estimate of AED 1,250 was provided in writing and referred to one day of inpatient care only. When your kitten remained with us for over 24 hours, a second full day of hospitalization and medications was needed. This isn’t a duplicate charge — it reflects the continuation of medical care, which included repeating treatments to keep her stable and comfortable.

Most medications — such as IV fluids and pain relief — only last a limited time and must be re-administered to remain effective. This is why a second day of care involves similar medical input, not just a place to stay. Additionally, take-home medications were provided at discharge to support your kitten’s recovery, and these were explained and approved before being dispensed.

We do recognize that in moments of stress, it's easy for any of us to miss details — especially when the focus is rightly on your pet's wellbeing. If there was any lack of clarity at any point, we sincerely regret that. We’d be more than happy to go over the full breakdown with you directly and make sure nothing was left unclear or unanswered.

Regarding the diagnostic concerns you raised, we do want to ensure you understand that certain procedures, like diagnostic testing, require specific preparation for the pet's safety and accuracy of the results. For example, fasting may be required before the test, and sometimes a sedative may be needed for procedures like X-rays. These tests need additional time beyond a standard consultation, which is why we recommend scheduling a dedicated diagnostic appointment. Our team will always explain the necessary steps and ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible.

While we fully respect your preference for seeing our Clinical Director, we hope you understand that our doctors have set schedules, and there may be times when multiple back-to-back appointments limit flexibility. We encourage clients to work with us in advance to ensure their needs are fully met, and we are always happy to find a solution that works for everyone.
